C’mon, I know you’ve heard it before: Dig those roots into the ground. Ground yourself. Get grounded, etc.

It’s common lingo, especially in the yoga and mindfulness world. And, while I have nothing against yoga and mindfulness (some of my best friends and colleagues are full fledged yogini’s), I will admit I’m a little picky when language is used that doesn’t resonate with people’s biological systems.

If it feels like I’m speaking in code to you right now, press PLAY on the video down below and check out what I have to say.

In my years of doing this “healing” stuff, I’ve thrown around a different idea of being “grounded” to some very advanced students of yoga and mindfulness, and while it kind of throws them off for a second, they then go: Hey, that actually does make sense.

If you feel like there was an important piece of information in this video, then I’d love for you to share this post with your friends on social media. I’m passionate about teaching more biologically-driven embodiment so our insides, and the parts of us that connect with our external world, get a chance to actually be listened to and acknowledged.

Here’s that direct link to the resurrected ebook that I mentioned at the end of the video: Pain-Free, Potent & Alive.
