CONSENT, WAIVER AND RELEASE

As the work of Irene Lyon and Elia Mrak (the "Teachers") grows, there is a need to tell the story of our teachings. To realize this, we have been photographing and video-recording our workshops via amateur and professional means and sharing such records on social media platforms. Documenting and sharing our work in this manner allows us to better showcase its power, which is difficult to capture with the written word alone.

Registration for the workshop requires your agreement to the terms contained in this Consent, Waiver and Release (this "Release").

I hereby understand that either one or both of the Teachers, or other persons authorized by the Teachers to do so on the Teachers' behalf, will be photographing and/or video-recording the workshop for which I am registering (the "Workshop") and that these photographs, video-recordings, and copies thereof may contain my name, likeness, statements, and/or voice (collectively, the "Released Materials"). I also understand that the Released Materials will be the exclusive property of the Teachers to use at their discretion, without compensating me for their use.

I hereby grant to and in favour of each of the Teachers and their respective successors, heirs and assigns the unrestrained right in perpetuity to use, publish, display, broadcast, adapt, license, modify, and reproduce the Released Materials for any purpose across all media now known or created in the future. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, I hereby authorize the Teachers to use the Released Materials in connection with advertisement and promotion of their workshops or other endeavors, sharing records of their workshops on social media, and/or public displays, exhibitions, and educational materials connected to their workshops or other endeavors. aterials connected to their workshops or other endeavors.

I hereby waive any right that I may have to inspect and approve of the finished product or final version of the Released Materials before they are released to the public, or at all. I further waive and release any claims in law or equity that I may have against the Teachers, and their respective successors, heirs and assigns arising from any use to which the Released Materials may be put, including without limitation any intellectual property or moral rights of any description, any right to approve of the use of the Released Materials, any claim for invasion of privacy, violation of the right of publicity, defamation, and/or copyright infringement, and any associated claims for damages or compensation.

Liability

While the Workshop fosters health and well-being, any activity of a physical nature carries risk of injury and loss. While the care and safety of our participants is of utmost importance, such risks cannot be entirely eliminated.

I hereby waive all legal rights to sue and any and all claims I may ever have against any of the Teachers or their authorized representatives in connection with any loss, injury, death, damage or expense that I may suffer, incur or experience in connection with the Workshop.

I hereby release the Teachers and their authorized representatives from any and all liability and from any and all claims, demands, damages, expenses, costs, actions or causes of action in respect to death, injury, loss or damage to me or my property, however caused, arising out of or in connection with the Workshop, and notwithstanding that such loss, injury or damage may have arisen by reason of the negligence of any of the Teachers or their authorized representatives, as the case may be.

Personal Conduct

The Teachers are committed to fostering a respectful environment where Workshop participants are welcoming and inclusive of all, and treat others with dignity and respect and in a non-discriminatory manner.

I hereby acknowledge that if, in the reasonable opinion of the Teachers or their authorized representatives, I am acting in a disrespectful manner to the Teachers or the Participants or both, I may be removed from the Workshop without refund.

Miscellaneous

I agree that this Release will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of British Columbia and, where applicable, the laws of Canada, without regard to their conflict of laws principles. Should a dispute arise as a result of this Release, I agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of British Columbia and waive any jurisdictional objections to such courts. I further agree that the prevailing party in any action that arises as a result of this Release will be entitled to receive from the other party its reasonable legal costs.

I have read the above terms and fully understand them. I am of the legal age of majority in my jurisdiction and am authorized to grant the permissions, waivers, and releases set forth above. I have sought or hereby waive the opportunity to seek independent legal advice prior to accepting the terms of this Release.

Refund Policy - VERY IMPORTANT PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

You may cancel your enrollment up to 8 weeks before the start of the workshop and receive a 50% refund. If you cancel less than 8 weeks prior to the commencement of the workshop you will not be eligible for a refund.

Note: For cancellations within 8 weeks that are based on qualified emergencies, exemptions do apply.

Note: For out of town guests, we recommend that participants purchase travel/trip insurance In the unlikely event that we need to cancel the workshop due to unforeseen circumstances.
