“When humor goes, there goes civilization.” Erma Bombeck
I’ll never forget the time Peter Levine, founder of Somatic Experiencing (SE), mentioned an ingrown toenail during a master class I was assisting at.
It was as if that was his way of telling us all that it was ok to crack a joke at a serious trauma training.
In this week’s latest video I share this (ingrown toenail) story, along with an educational video that breaks down a long list of chronic illnesses (36 to be exact) connected with dysregulation of the autonomic nervous system.
As an interesting aside: dysregulation of the nervous system is also known as dysautonomia.
Peter Levine likes to call it: autonomic dysregulation syndrome.
All these terms are one and the same, and that is what I break down in this week’s video.
