A few months ago my team and I shared a popular meme on my Instagram channel of two golfers with very different reactions to the same alligator.
Did you catch it?
It stirred up some great conversation, and today, I want to dive a little deeper and explain why it works as a perfect metaphor for nervous system regulation.
The meme paints such a solid visual picture of why healing at this deep nervous system level is so important.
Because when we confront life’s inevitable monsters (whether they’re stored inside our system or are standing right in front of us), we want to have enough regulation, capacity, and resilience onboard to face (and slay!) them.
Once that happens, life gets a hell of a lot easier.
Watch and learn, friends.
