Today I’m sharing a new video that gets into the links between early childhood stress (aka: adversity, abuse, bad stuff that happens to us, and so on) and chronic illness later in life.
While this is old news on the research and science front, it is still having a tough time breaking into the mainstream media and into the areas that I feel it must get to ….
This video was inspired by a book called Scared Sick – The Role of Childhood Trauma in Adult Disease. I read a tiny passage from it and also outline the numerous, and all too common, illnesses and chronic conditions that are linked with being literally ‘scared sick.’
I also share some compelling stories of my students, and how they are healing in a multitude of ways by “simply” working at the root level: the nervous system and the somatic experiences.
