Nuanced nervous system education from inside SBSM…

Registration for the next round of SmartBody SmartMind™ (SBSM) is just around the corner!

And before doors open THIS Tuesday, September 3, we wanted to share one final nugget of nervous system education.

You’ll also find a run-down of what to expect during registration week at the bottom of this blog.

But first, here’s that nugget of nervous system education from inside the online “hallways” of SBSM, specifically one of our recent Q&A calls wherein Seth answers the following question:

“Can you elaborate on the relationship with coping mechanisms such as stimulants and early developmental trauma freeze states? On the last call, you mentioned that it’s not about giving up the coping mechanisms but about slowly replacing the habits. Rather than addressing the coping mechanism, which is a symptom, it’s better to work on building regulation. What does that look like in practice? Thank you.”

In this 4-min clip, Seth explains how we might reduce our reliance on coping mechanisms by bringing awareness to how we relate to them, using some of the tools and exercises in SBSM.

If learning how to become your own medicine and restore nervous system regulation through polyvagal-informed education, practical neurosensory exercises, and interactive support (via our curated Q&A calls and private members dashboard) is for you, be sure to get on the waitlist*.

*We’ve got a special live event for 21 Day Nervous System Tune-Up members & waitlisters only. More on that and other SBSM registration week happenings below…
