University Study Results Show How Somatic Awareness Could Reduce Loneliness
I’ve got a dual-purpose video for you today. In this video:
1 – I share some exciting (and statistically significant!) findings from a research study the University of Victoria did, looking at the effectiveness of my 12-week curriculum, SmartBody Smartmind (SBSM).
2 – I dive into a topic that my team and I get a lot of questions about, which is loneliness. This is the specific question I answer:

The reason I wanted to bridge these two pieces for you is:
The study findings offer some clues as to WHY folks feel more whole, more alive, more human, and less lonely when they embark on a journey of nervous system healing via my online work.
AND…
If you’re new here, thinking about joining SBSM this September, but maybe aren’t so sure about taking the leap and investing, it’s possible that…
A – You’re wondering if what I’m doing in my online “hallways” really works…
B – You’re watching some of our video testimonies and thinking these stories seem too good to be true..
C – You’re feeling like you keep going in survival stress circles and can’t imagine it ever stopping…
D – You’re at a point of giving up and not sure if the issue is you, the methods you are using or a bit of both…
OR…
E – All of the above.
I get it.
These are all honest wonders and confusions that so many of my students have leading up to giving SBSM a solid try.
I have hundreds of personal anecdotes and testimonies sharing why SBSM has been different for people and now we have some promising scientific data to back this all up!

PS I shared this quote on social media recently and wanted to pop it in here because, for those who took part in our study, there was also a clear trend towards improved relationships…

…This trend is great to see because it backs up what my students and I know to be true: when we heal our nervous system, we improve not only ourselves, but how we connect with others.
