The New Year is here!
Late 2024, I started to reflect a LOT on the past 10 years.
All of which I have dedicated to bringing this nervous system healing trauma “stuff” into the online space (for those new here, this short page talks more about this).
It dawned on me that the last time I did a New Year’s specific piece was this article back in 2015 — and, to this day, the message still holds true.
However, for the start of 2025, I have a new musing on our future as humans, plus our healing needs, via this video.
This livestream was inspired by a passage in a book all about relationships from a Jungian perspective.
Truth be told, I never got to the relationship part (not at least as I write this), but the first chapter stopped me cold and got me thinking about why it can be so darn tough for us (maybe you?) to start healing our nervous system, even when we know about all the evidence that points to why it is so important to get it healthier.
This video message is more for those who are NOT yet at rock bottom with a chronic illness or severe autoimmune illness or neurodegenerative condition or debilitating mental illness.
It is for those who know they are getting some niggly signs and symptoms, but they are just not severe enough to dedicate your attention to this as if your life depends on it (even though, deep down, I think you know that it does).
Tell me what lands as you listen:
For reference, the book in question is ‘The Eden Project: In search of the Magical Other’ (A Jungian perspective on relationships), by James Hollis.
That is all for now, expect to say:
Do not forget that YOUR healing and regulation impacts humanity’s healing and regulation.
Be selfish this year and take care of yourself…
Because, at the end of the day, you are the only one you can fully control and make well — from the inside, out.
To your nervous system health in 2025 and way beyond!
