I see comments like these pop up on my YouTube and Instagram all the time:
“It didn’t do anything.”
“Nothing happened.”
“It’s not working.”
These responses come from folks who try one of my neurosensory exercises and expect instant transformation.
Hey, I get it.
When you’re looking for relief, you want to feel it, fast.
But here’s the truth:
Nervous system healing isn’t a quick fix.
That’s what today’s video (originally recorded as a livestream on Instagram) is all about.
KNOW THIS: If you’ve tried one of my exercises and didn’t feel anything right away, that doesn’t necessarily mean nothing happened.
You might be in a state of functional freeze, or maybe there’s a lot of stored anger or survival stress that’s blocking your ability to feel right now…
This is why education is key – understanding the journey you’re on and why it might take some time to feel the shifts.
You wouldn’t expect to be fluent in French after one Duolingo lesson.
You wouldn’t expect to climb a mountain after just one hour-long walk.
So why expect your nervous system to recalibrate after just one exercise?
In today’s video, I break down why “it’s not working” isn’t the whole story – and how long it can sometimes take to start feeling the true, lasting benefits of nervous system work.
