I’m stoked to share a shiny new interview chat with one of my Somatic Experiencing colleagues, Dr. Aimie Apigian.

Dr. Aimie entered into the world of developmental trauma and all things nervous system health when she adopted a little human while in medical school (crazy, I know!).

In our chat we talk about her journey, and how she quickly realized that love is NOT enough as a parent, and why understanding the language of the nervous system is hands down one of THE most important skills for navigating relationships (and being successful at them I might add!).

Click below to watch.

We also get into the world of functional medicine, and some of the essentials when it comes to ensuring our nerve cells have the proper support for releasing stored traumatic stress, so they (and us) can grow remarkable capacity.

My spidey senses tell me that her and I will be talking more in the future!

This was liked a lot when I posted it via Instagram last week, so sharing with you all here:

love is not enough

And my caption was:

(Also) know that this happens with much greater ease when we are FULLY connected to our somatic experiences and ALL of their depth, the light, the darkness, all of it.

Stay well and remember to orient to the simple pleasures around you!
